3 Ways To Know Your Time in Corporate America Has Expired

Many entrepreneurs delay their exit from corporate America. The reasons vary but more often they don’t realize the clock has stopped for the corporate job. Let’s discuss how you can determine whether your time us up in the hated rat race.

Achieved Career Goals. if you are a high achieve whom is goal oriented this may fit you. In college you had what seemed like a lengthy list of career goals to achieve. So you were laser focused on achieving them when you graduated college and began your career. Now 5-15 years into your career you have achieved all or most of the goals you had planned. Those goals you haven’t achieved you either don’t see a reason to put in the effort or your career don’t push your career in the direction you would like it to go. So now you are wondering what your next set of career goals should be. Nothing in your current career interests you like it did when you first began 5-15 years ago or maybe even longer.
No longer passionate about your career. Remember the early days of your career when you had all those great ideas? Remember when you couldn’t wait to take action or responsibility for a new process, customer or product at work? You were so in love with your career until it was like the best lover you ever had. That position, employer or team revved your engine, so you zoomed along all too happy in your job. Now the lover is annoying and pestering. The engine needs repair but no one wants to help you pay for the costs. All the passion you had for your career has died!
Have something pulling at you CONSTANTLY. One day you thought of this great product or service that would solve an issue for people or an industry. Unlike other random thoughts you had, this particular one would NOT leave you alone. You have written notes, sketched it out and maybe even Googled how to have it manufactured. But you still go to work every day with this thought NAGGING and PULLING at you constantly. Even during meetings you are making notes about it. How to market it? Where to manufacture it? How it can save the WORLD! Yet you still are in sheople land.

WAKE UP! This is your wake up call. No you didn’t oversleep for work. You are over-living your time to transition from employee to entrepreneur. You are missing your opportunity to take your idea, dream and aspirations to floriation! You don’t realize your time in corporate America is UP PAST DUE EXPIRED END OF GAME. DONE!
